‘Eve’ may surprise Mi Casa fans with its slowed-down, sexy house groove and dancefloor tendencies. Lyrically it is a deeper, socio-political look at the dark place we find ourselves in as mankind, challenging listeners with real issues.
With a definite Afro-centric angle to the lyrics, the sadness of the track is visceral due to sheer vocal mastery by J’Something, Mo’s melancholy pull of the trumpet and the slowed-down beat taking the listener on a journey of awareness.
